"In 2003 I got invited on a work team to Guatemala with ORI and in 2004 my wife and I visited Lawrence and Trina as they were serving in Guatemala. From that point on our lives were changed by all the children in the orphanages without any families. Over the next couple of years we went on several work teams to Guatemala and every time we could see Gods will being done by ORI. On October of 2009 ORI came to us and asked us if we would consider serving in Guatemala. My wife and I had already felt that God wanted us to someday serve in Guatemala. So as we prayed to God we felt in our hearts that he wanted us to go. We got back to ORI in the begining of November 2009 and comitted to a 3 year term. With Gods help we sold our house, excavating equipment, and took care of all necesary things within 4 months. We moved to Guatemala on 3/5/10. After we go through 3 months of language school we will be asuming the role of project manager (finding and overseeing work projects for the work teams) and helping the other ORI staff in Guatemala."
